The Bigger Picture
Screen sizes have a long history of adapting different shapes and forms. The same with the devices we use, an E-reader for example. This device flourished for a while but it's now an dying device. So when we were asked to design a book about
Video art in the public space the decision to use an E-reader instead of designing a book for print was a logical choice. Especially because when navigating through the book you can see the screen refresh in order to show the next page
The refreshing of the screen also gave me the opportunity to add different shapes and form and you can see them move the moment you navigate through the book. The shapes are inspired by old test screens from televisions.
